What is Fortify?

Fortify is a new Digital Identity Provider (IDP) bringing modern authentication concepts to our users.

Fortify simplifies authentication while offering modern security practices including Two-Factor Authentication (2FA), a subset of Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), and external logins, allowing users to authenticate into LCPtracker products through trusted Third-Party Authenticators (TPA).

Getting Started

If you are an existing user and selected to onboard to Fortify, then you will only receive the Onboarding Email.

If you are a new user, two emails will be sent.

The first email is a Welcome Email and the second one is the Onboarding email.

Subject: Notice of new Account Access – this email is to notify you have been granted access to a database/account.

Onboarding Email

Subject: Fortify Onboarding – this email is where you will begin your Fortify onboarding process.

The Onboarding email will include a Username and Temporary Password.

Select the Complete Profile option; this will direct you to the LCPtracker User Portal login screen.

The user ID and Temporary Password on the email (which may be copied and pasted) will be used to login to the account.

On the Login page, type in the Username, enter the Temporary Password, and then click Login.

Note: If a user has already completed the Fortify Onboarding through a different product (i.e. LCPtracker), then the user will be able to access such products through the appropriate product tile.

Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)

2FA is an additional layer of security for the user’s account. There are two options available for this required step (select one).

  • Email Two-Factor Authentication – this does not require any set up. If you do not use a third-party application, Fortify will send a 6-digit authentication code to your email which you will need to access your account.
  • Two-factor Authentication Application – this third-party application is to be set up on a person’s phone or corporate laptop/Desktop. The app will provide the user rotating verification code (short-term expiration) that Fortify will accept to grant access to their account.

There are two ways you can set up a Two-factor Authentication application.

The first is selecting Enable Email Code.

The second way to add the Two-Factor Authentication feature is to select the Enable Authenticator App to set up your required application. You can do this by clicking Profile on the menu panel and then Two-Step Verification

Example Using Microsoft Authenticator App

  • Download and install the app to your smartphone.
    • Google Android. On your Android device, go to Google Play to download and install the Authenticator app.
    • Apple iOS. On your Apple iOS device, go to the App Store to download and install the Authenticator app.
    • Open the Microsoft Authenticator app and select the Add account button and tap Work or school account.

    • Select Scan a QR code.

    • Locate the QR code and using your device’s camera, scan the QR code. You may also enter the code manually.
    • Choose the newly created account in your Microsoft Authenticator app.
    • The Authenticator App will provide you with a Verification Code for you to enter.
    • Once you enter the verification code, click the Verify button.

You have set up your Authentication App! When accessing your LCPcertified account, you will need to use the authentication app to access your LCPcertified account.

If you would like to disable the Authenticator application, then you simply go to the Two-Step Verification under profile and click on Reset Authenticator App button.

Recovery Codes

Using Recovery Codes

If you do not have access to your email or your two-factor authenticator app (2FA), you may use one of your ten recovery codes to access your account.

Authenticate by Email with Codes

  • Enter your Username and Password and select Login.
  • If you do not have access to the email or Authenticator Application, you may use one of the ten recovery codes to access your account.
  • Select the log in with a recovery code link.
  • Enter the Recovery Code and select Log in.

This will provide you access to your Fortify account where you can access your LCPtracker products.

Note: Each Recovery Code may only be used once. You must ensure to generate new recovery codes before using the tenth one.

Forgot Your Password

If you forget your account’s Password, you can easily reset it.

  • On the User Portal Login page, type in your username and click continue.
  • Click Reset here link.

  • Type in your username and click Send Email.

  • Next, you must create New Password and Confirm it, then click Reset

  • After resetting your account’s password, you can now login through the User Portal Login page once again.

  • You have now finalized your Fortify onboarding and you may proceed to accessing your LCPcertified account.
